And today, I am so thankful to the voters of Wyoming who came out yesterday to renew that contract.

But this victory doesn’t belong to me, or any of the candidates, it belongs to the voters of Wyoming and the thousands of volunteers across the state who have supported me this year. As most of you know, I started my campaign a little earlier than normal last July. While Diana and I knew we had many terrific friends and volunteers all around...

Great day in Encampment this weekend! Be sure to check out the Grand Encampment Museum, Inc next time you are in the area. This fantastic Wyoming museum boasts more than a dozen historical buildings filled with artifacts representing the timber, mining and agricultural history of the Encampment valley. Thanks also to Bob Herring for showing us around his great store, Good Things New Antiques. Another great Wyoming small business!

I had the honor of awarding Robert James of Gillette with the Purple Heart for his service in Iraq with the Wyoming National Guard. Robert was injured when an IED blew up his convoy in 2007. I join citizens across Wyoming, and throughout the country, in thanking James and his family for their service and sacrifice.

I was proud to attend the Affordable Energy Rally last week in my hometown of Gillette - the energy capital of the world. The reality is eliminating coal from our energy portfolio is neither practical or prudent. Coal is not only essential to keeping the lights on and energy costs affordable, it plays a big role in our national economy and providing jobs across the country. Wyoming's rail industry is essential to the success of our energy sector and entire economy, shipping Wyoming coal, crops and other goods all across the country. Progress Rail Services in Bill helps to keep these trains running at full capacity, performing inspections and repairs to more than 11,000 railcars every month. The facility employs more than 45 people and supports thousands of additional jobs in the railroad and energy sectors. #Wyoworks
