The Wyoming coal industry is vital for our economic growth and long-term prosperity. Yet, the Democrats in Washington, D.C. have made it their mission to bury this industry under burdensome red tape and regulations.

In the Senate, I’ve joined my colleagues to fight back against the War on Coal.

We’re making great progress, but the efforts from the left to undermine the coal industry have been frequent, and aggressive. We’ve taken measures to promote and protect coal, including:

I've long fought to protect Wyoming energy jobs, traveling the country and world to advocate for the state’s industry. I've traveled to a global climate change conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina, arguing that the United States Senate will not ratify a global warming treaty that exports U.S. jobs and puts incredible financial burdens on the country. Wyoming's coal industry would have been particularly hard hit by the treaty, with estimates of job loss ranging between 5,000-10,000. So important for us to remain proactive in promoting Wyoming energy and coal.

I'm working diligently in the U.S. Senate to promote a thriving coal and energy industry in Wyoming. Check out the link to learn more about the progress we've made and SHARE with your friends and family now!

I'm a strong proponent of coal exports and I've helped lead the fight against efforts by the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) to do all encompassing NEPA reviews. Our efforts have led to the ACOE announcing it would not be conducting these cumulative reviews. We're taking measures to ensure Wyoming coal remains a thriving industry!

Thrilled the President has signed the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which will help people learn the skills they need to get meaningful jobs. It’s a special moment to complete something I’ve worked on since George W. Bush was president. But this law is about building America’s future. It’s good news for those out of work and local businesses looking for workers with specific skills. LIKE and SHARE to spread the word!
